DUDLEY (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Three men were rushed to the hospital on Saturday after a snowmobiling accident in Dudley.

Saturday marked the first day of substantial snowfall in Massachusetts. As did many others, the three men took to the outdoors to enjoy some newly fallen snow.

Authorities tell FOX 25 the group was snowmobiling on Hayden Pond when they fell through the ice and into the freezing pond water.

Two of the men, one local, one from Connecticut, got out off the 30 to 40 degree water quickly. The third had been under the water for at least 15 minutes by the time rescue personnel got to him and was unconscious when he was taken out of the water.

All three men were suffering from hypothermia. The third man pulled from the water remained in critical condition on Saturday night.
