LYNN (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Vandals broke into a Lynn school overnight on Thursday, leaving a mess behind.
The Daily Item reports vandals broke into Ingalls Elementary School and tossed around piles of papers and pencils, splattered paint throughout the art room and drove the school's floor buffing machine across the parking lot.
This is the second case of school vandalism in just two weeks. Police have no suspects.
Police responded to a report of a break-in at the school Friday morning around 6:30 a.m. from the school custodian who found the floor buffer in an alley by Chatham Street. The buffer did not appear to be damaged, but papers and pencils were scattered through classrooms and hallways.
Police say vandals scrawled words on white marker boards and hurled paint at the walls and floor of the art room.
