Water main break closes Boston office building

An office building in Boston's Government Center has been closed for the day following an overnight water main break.

The break occurred outside One Center Plaza, across from City Hall. Firefighters ordered the building closed as a precaution because the main provided sprinkler service to the building.

One lane of Cambridge Street has also been closed to traffic because of the break.

MBTA service to the busy Government Center station has not been affected.
