Woman gets her bag stuck in moving MBTA train

(myfoxboston) - She got a bag stuck trying to get on the MBTA train and what happened next is pretty scary.

A 34 year-old Quincy woman was trying to board a Red Line train at South Station when the doors closed on her pocketbook. The train began to move away with her bag wedged in the doors.

The woman ran alongside the moving train shouting for help. At the last minute, she let go prior to going off the end of the platform but she collided with a wall.

The MBTA says they launched a thorough investigation of the incident.

The MBTA fired the train attendant and gave the train operator a 10-day suspension following the incident, which acting T general manager William Mitchell called "inexcusable."
