Published : Friday, 02 Oct 2009, 6:28 AM EDT

The body of an exotic dancer was found in a pool of blood outside of her Everett home on Friday morning.

Sheila Santos, 26, was found dead outside of her apartment complex on Main Street about an hour after she left her job as a dancer at Alex’s in Stoughton.

The Boston Globe reports that police have questioned a man in connection with the slaying, but no more details were released.

Santos had previously told her sister she had become worried that someone was following her home from work, the newspapers reported.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Members of the public with information that they believe may be helpful to the investigation can contact Massachusetts State Police at 781-897-6600 or Everett Police at 617-394-2356.
