Hot on the Web: Old Spice guy bids us adieu

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - It's a good thing he has that horse handy, because America's favorite bodywash enthusiast is riding off into the sunset.

The Old Spice Guy a.k.a. Isaiah Mustafa created a viral video sensation when he began responding to fans, celebrities and, well, just about everyone via YouTube.  Mustafa first reached our collective conscious with the commercial " The Man Your Man Could Smell Like ."  The commercials were a hit, but it wasn't until this week that he became a viral star.

Mustafa began personally responding to comments and questions posted to him via YouTube, Twitter, Reddit and Facebook.  His YouTube channel began filling up with personalized videos to everyone from Alyssa Milano to George Stephanopolous.  Each individual video had hundreds of thousands of plays, some with more than a million.

On Wedensday, sadly, he filmed his last video, "Re: Everyone", telling us that all good things must come to an end.  So, enjoy the end of Old Spice Guy's reign of terror clean-scented hilarity.  Silverfish hand catch!
