Man drives $1,700,000 car into a Texas lake

A man drives his million dollar ride right into a lagoon in Texas.

The drivers name is being reported as, Andy House, 34, of Lufkin, Texas.  House is a collector of exotic cars and owns Performance Auto Sales .

Performance Auto Sales specializes in fixing wrecked exotic cars and trucks.

Originally House told police he had dropped his mobile phone while driving alongside the lagoon while taking his new car out for a test drive.

He stated that when he looked up from picking up the phone he was startled by a low flying pelican which cause him to swerve off the road.

Howerver, in a Youtube video shot by some someone who happen to be driving alongside House, there is no pelican in sight.

House's insurance company says they're investigating the claim and cannot comment.

The Bugatti has 1001 horsepower and a top speed of 253 mph.  They can run as high as $1,700,000.  House's Bugatti is believed to be one of only 15 in the United States.
