Naked homeless man calls 911 demanding hug, hot chocolate

BEAVERTON, Ore. (NewsCore) - A homeless man in Oregon was arrested for trespassing after sneaking into a local hot tub and calling 911 to request "a hug and a warm cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows," The Oregonian online newspaper reported late Wednesday.

Officers responding to the bizarre call arrived at the Beaverton, Ore., neighborhood pool to find Mark Eskelson sitting naked in a hot tub. According to statements made to police, he had been sitting in the water for around 10 hours and began to worry for his health when he realized he had no dry towels.

Eskelson, who initially identified himself as "the sheriff of Washington County," had been disturbing locals by screaming for nearly two hours.

Emergency dispatch had taken several calls about the racket, but the most notable was from Eskelson himself.

"I just need a hug and a warm cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows in it," he told the dispatcher.
