DURHAM, NH (FOX25, myfoxboston) - Thousands of UNH newspapers were stolen and trashed just after their delivery.

Police say more than 4,000 copies of  "The New Hampshire" were trashed.

Editors at the paper say they believe that a front page story may be the reason the papers were stolen.

Police do not expect to press criminal charges.
