Fumbles, injuries and opportunity have opened the door for several players available in many fantasy football leagues.
Steve Slaton was benched by Houston in Week 8, allowing Ryan Moats to step in with 23 carries for 126 yards and three touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills.
"Gary Kubiak remains uncommitted about which runner will get most of the work," FantasyVictory.com expert Paul Charchian said. "But it’s safe to say this: Slaton will probably be in the game on passing downs because of his hands. And, at the goal line Slaton is probably the third option. Moats could start the game, and get 20 carries, and get the goal line work."
In San Diego, Malcolm Floyd is emerging as a reliable target for Philip Rivers. Also in the AFC West, Correll Buckhalter is back in action and averaging six yard per carry in Denver.
"Josh McDaniels likes a rotation of backs, and Buckhalter is in the mix," Charchian said.
Don't be fooled by Ted Ginn's two touchdown on returns last week. Ginn was benched on offense in favor of rookie Brian Hartline.
"Ginn has dropped too many balls, and seems to be too far in the doghouse to become a reliable fantasy player," Charchian said.
