(FOX25, myfoxboston) - In high school hoops on Sunday, #8 Andover took on #1 Central Catholic in the Division 1 North quarterfinals.
The big man Carson Desrosiers, 6’10”, helped lead the way for Central Catholic with defense. He’s heading to Wake Forest in the fall.
The top-seeded Blazers breezed by Andover 78-56. They now move on to face the #4 seed Acton Boxborough on Tuesday.
In the Division 2 quaterfinals, #8 Lynn Classical took on #1 seed North Andover, and you won’t believe the finish (watch it on the left).
With 7 seconds left in the game North Andover tied it up on free throws.
But Nick Grassa hit a shot at the buzzer to win the game for Lynn Classical in a huge upset.
Grassa, a junior, didn’t only hit the game winner, but he had 31 points on the night. They’ll move on to play the #5 seed Reading on Wednesday in the semis.
In the Division 2 quaterfinals, #7 seed Salem took on #2 seed Masconomet.
Salem junior Antonio Reyes had the hot hand, dropping 37 on Masco.
But Masconomet was in it until the end. Down three with just seconds left, Collin Burke had a chance at the buzzer but missed.
Salem got the win 74-71. Reyes got his 1,000th point in the game.
They’ll move on to face #6 Dracut on Wednesday.

And in Division 3 South, Bishop Feehan upset Medway. Michael Adams hit the runner in the lane with 4 seconds left in the game.
