High School Friday is getting ready for the state basketball tournament tonight. All the seedings are pairing out.
A whopping 264 schools from Eastern Mass. are qualifying for the boy’s and girl’s state tournament.

BOY’S TOURNAMENT
Division 1 North
1. Central Catholic (20-1)
2. Lynn English (19-1)
3. St. John's Prep. (18-2)
4. Acton-Boxborough (18-2)
5. Cambridge R&L (17-3)
Central Catholic grabbing the top seed, as the Raiders are 20-1 on the season.
They’re followed by Lynn English who will be without their coach Buzzy Barton. Barton was suspended by the MIAA today for recruiting violations.
Division 1 South
1. Madison Park (17-1)
2. Newton North (19-2)
3. Mansfield (18-2)
4. Brockton (17-3)
5. Marshfield (17-3)
In the south, Madison Park out of the Boston City League will be your top seed. The Cardinals are 17-1 on the year.
Division 2 North
1. North Andover (18-2)
2. Masconomet (17-3)
3. Belmont (17-3)
4. Chelsea (17-3) .
5. Reading (15-5)
In Division 2 North, North Andover grabs the top seed at 18-2. Masconomet, having a terrific sports year as a school, is your 2 seed. Belmont, who we visited on our season-opening High School Friday, is the 3 seed.
Division 2 South
1. Whitman-Hanson (18-2)
2. Milton (16-4)
3. Scituate (15-4)
4. Falmouth (15-5)
5. Duxbury (15-5)
Whitman Hanson grabbed the top seed in Division 2 South with an 18-2 record. Defending state champion Milton is looking strong again as the two seed.
Division 3 Top Seeds
1. Hamilton-Wenham (15-3)

In D-3 boys, Hamilton Wenham and 19-1 Cardinal Spellman, another High School Friday participant, are the tops seeds
Division 4 Top Seeds

GIRL’S TOURNAMENT
Division 1 North
1. Central Catholic (19-2)
2. Westford Academy (18-2)
3. Andover (19-3)
4. Peabody (17-3)
5. Revere (16-4)
In Division 1 on the girl’s side, Central Catholic, the defending state champs, are also your top seed up north for the girls at 19-2. They’re followed by Westford Academy, then perennial powerhouse Andover. Peabody is 4 and Revere is your 5 seed.
Division 1 South
1. Wellesley (19-1)
2. New Bedford (18-2)
3. Whitman-Hanson (16-2)
4. Marshfield (17-3)
5. Brockton (17-3)
In the south, Wellesley, who just lost their first game of the season last night to Newton North, they are the top seed at 19-1. New Bedford and Whitman Hanson are 2 and 3. Marshfield is 4th and Brockton is the 5.
Division 2 North

3. Arlington Catholic (16-4)
4. Latin Academy (14-5)
5. Winchester (14-6)
Melrose at 17-3 grabs the top seed, edging out Reading who was also 17-3. Arlington Catholic, who we visited earlier this year, is the 3 seed.
