A slow-moving storm that sat over the Sandwich area on the Cape caused some serious flooding on Saturday.
Basements were flooded, and some roads were closed as the storm cluster sat over the area for three hours.
Residents told FOX25's Alison Bologna that the storm was unexpected. They thought the rain was supposed to be over by the early afternoon.
But it lasted from about 3 p.m. to the early evening, with rain falling at 2-3 inches per hour in some spots.
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning.
But the storm was localized. Areas outside of the Sandwich and Forestdale area saw only about 1 inch total all day.
Most of the rain had left the area by late Saturday night.
