(NewsCore) - Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle left the U.S. in tears Wednesday after rock legend Lou Reed banned her from performing his hit "Perfect Day" on TV show "America's Got Talent," entertainment website TMZ reported.
Boyle -- who sprang to fame after appearing on "Britain's Got Talent" in 2009 -- had come to Los Angeles to appear on the U.S. program.
Producers tried to secure Reed's permission for her to sing his hit, but were knocked back at the last moment, according to TMZ, because former the Velvet Underground star "isn't a Boyle fan."
The website said Boyle was left distraught and fled to LAX for a flight back to London.
While incredibly popular, the 49-year-old spinster has struggled at times with her voyage from obscurity to fame, reportedly suffering from the associated pressure.
