Elizabeth Hopkins joined FOX25 Morning News as a reporter in December 2010. She starts her on-air day at 4:00 a.m. bringing early risers up-to-date and covering developing stories. She enjoys the unpredictable format of a five-and-a-half hour live morning show and going head-to-head with her colleagues in the show's "Let It Rip" and "Mail Call" segments.
Waking up with early birds who want their coffee, news, weather and traffic is nothing new to Elizabeth. Her predawn career most recently includes anchoring the morning and noon newscasts at WPRI-TV in Providence, Rhode Island.
Elizabeth has reported and anchored extensively across the country. She was an anchor and reporter at WKOW in Madison, Wisconsin where she received an Emmy nomination. Prior to working in Madison she anchored and covered daily news at KNBN and KAUN in South Dakota.
Elizabeth is from New York and spent most of her summers on Cape Cod with her family. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from The College of New Jersey.
In her free time, Elizabeth cooks, although friends and family have asked her to stop. Her yet-unrealized dream is to be recruited for a flash mob. She has dedicated her life to golfing poorly and eagerly awaits her official "Bad Golfers Association" membership card.
