Nicole Jacobs joined FOX25 News in June 2010 as a general assignment reporter. A true 'Carolina Girl' at heart, she is glad to bring a little southern charm to the Northeast.

She comes to Boston from Hartford, where she was a general assignment reporter at WTIC, Fox 61. There, Nicole covered national stories from the brutal murder of a Yale University Doctoral student to Senator Christopher Dodd's announcement to not seek re-election. While at Fox 61 Nicole could also be seen filling in on the anchor desk.

Prior to making the 800 mile move to the Northeast, Nicole was a general assignment reporter at WXII 12 News, the NBC affiliate in Winston Salem, N.C. where she covered the Virginia Tech massacre.

Nicole started her television news career in Raleigh, North Carolina, first as an assignment editor, then as a producer and eventually, a general assignment reporter. There she covered the beginning stages of the Duke Lacrosse Rape accusations.

Nicole graduated cum laude from North Carolina State University. During her college years, she could be seen on the sidelines as an NC State cheerleader, and later as a member of the Dance Team.

Nicole grew up in Kinston, North Carolina. Prior to her television career, she was a middle school teacher in her hometown.

When she's not reporting, Nicole enjoys traveling, working out, and cooking-up a good southern meal.
