BOSTON - After video of a suspect appeared on FOX 25's New England's Unsolved,
police arrested a male wanted in connection with the 2010 shooting
death of Demetrius Blocker.
Keith Hobbs, 26, is currently incarcerated on an unrelated gun charge
and will be arraigned on Thursday for a Dec. 16, 2010 shooting that
occurred in the Mission Hill section of Boston.
Boston Police Homicide Detectives told FOX 25 that Blocker was gunned
down as he stood by a green pick-up truck parked behind his cousin's
apartment at 48 Horodan Way. Police said the killer opened fire on
Blocker and then continued to fire as he ran for his life.
After the fatal shooting, Hobbs allegedly made his way from the scene
to a dumpster where he tossed his gun. He then continued his way
towards the Green Line on Huntington Avenue.
Surveillance cameras caught images of the suspect walking calmly away from the murder
Detectives believe Blocker was the victim of mistaken identity.
