Timothy Walker's mother, Denise Murray, is the first person to tell you that her son was no saint. At the time of his murder, Timothy Walker was on probation, he was wearing an ankle bracelet. In the past, he served time for dealing drugs.
Timothy's past may or may not explain the motive for his shooting. But it doesn't give the killer a license to gun down someone sitting on his grandmother's porch in Lawrence on a hot night in July.
Denise Murray doesn't want to sugarcoat her son's past because she knows, if she does, you might not believe anything else she has to say. Denise is heartbroken over her son's murder, ending his life before he turned 21. Denise says that Timothy was a smart, funny young man, who was growing out of troubled teen years. A young man who had earned his GED and was determined to do something with his life. That life gunned down in a single shot gun blast on July 24, 2010 on Lowell Street in Lawrence, MA.
Authorities have released, for the first time anywhere, the video surveillance that shows the actions of the gunman and his accomplice before, after, and during Timothy's murder. It's incredible to watch the gunman step out of a crossover SUV, walk down the street with a shotgun hidden behind his shoulder towards Timothy, and then to see him run back to the waiting getaway car. The actual murder is not seen as the view is blocked by a canopy. It is hoped that an alert Fox 25 viewer might recognize the gunman, or the SUV, or the driver, and bring some peace to Denise Murray's broken heart.
Timothy Walker's death is not completely in vain. In a sense, he lives on. Timothy's donated organs are helping five other people. Two 60 years old men received Timothy's lungs, a 50 year old received Timothy's pancreas, an 18 year old received his left kidney and Timothy's right kidney went to a 20 year old.
