A Sandwich Police officer is on paid leave after an alleged accident near the Forestdale Mobil station of Route 130 two weeks ago.

Officer Michael Hoadley has been with the Sandwich Police Department for 26 years. But investigators may now have a videotape of the incident which has jeopardized his career.

Hoadley allegedly hit light pole by the Mobil station while he was off-duty before taking off. The accident caused property damage.

A review into the incident is underway.
