A great day for some baseball made even greater because of the athletes who got to play.

In the fifth annual Medford Invitational Tournament Challenger Day, 50 athletes, all with mental and physical disabilities, played ball at Columbus Memorial Park in Medford. Organizers say the day “is special for these kids, their families and the community.”

The athletes were joined by some special guests including Wally The Green Monster. The Bruins' Blades the Bear, and the U.S. Coast Guard Color Guard.
