Stripper chaperone files charges against Brookline officers

A chaperone for a stripper is now seeking criminal charges against four Brookline police officers who he says severely beat him outside a bachelor party last weekend.

Bob Sonia and his lawyer were in Brookline District Court this afternoon filing applications for criminal charges.

They want the officers to be charged with assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and aggravated assault and battery.

Sonia told FOX Undercover he was chaperoning a stripper who was called to a condo on Beacon Street for a bachelor party.

All the officers – Daniel Avila, David Hill, Yu Kajita and Brendan Kelliher – have all been on the force for less than four years.

The four were partying at a Beacon Street condominium owned by Hill when they made a call at 3 a.m. for a stripper. The dancer and Sonia arrived an hour later, but Sonia says the cops told him that the bachelor had left and they wanted to cancel the show.

He says the four off duty Brookline cops who were there ended up attacking him.

A lawyer for the Brookline Police Union is now saying Sonia actually assaulted the officers, and once the department's investigation is over they plan to file charges against him.
