They met on a dating website and it was practically love at first sight for Todd and Michelle Bracken, owners of Frosting A Cupcakery in Chevy Chase.
The couple started dating in 2007, tied the knot two years later on New Year's Eve and started 2010 off as newlyweds and entrepreneurs.
The Bracken's said goodbye to their traditional careers and focused on launching their business, which opened in April.
Now they are celebrating their national book launch for a new series of reality-based romance novels by True Vows, a new arm of HCI Books, which published the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.
Their book, Icing on the Cake, starts with how they met on Match.com and had an instant love connection. It also describes how they went to New York City to tour bakeries, how they got married and how they opened up their popular cupcake shop at 1 Wisconsin Circle in Chevy Chase.
