A Framingham elementary school is asking parents to keep cupcakes, cookies and brownies at home when students celebrate their birthdays this year.
In a letter to families, the principal at the Potter Road School says the school is exploring alternative ways to mark birthdays in the classroom.
The school has also begun offering healthier meals and snacks.
