Text tip leads to arrest of Cambridge men

CAMBRIDGE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - An anonymous text sent to police on Tuesday night lead to the arrest of three males from Cambridge who were allegedly smoking marijuana and causing a disturbance on Pine Street.

Cambridge Police responded to Pine Street in Cambridge at approximately 8:56 p.m. and discovered several males smoking marijuana outside.

Police arrested 18-year-old Jeff Bonaventure, 18-year-old James Bonaventure, and 20-year-old Tevin Brown.

Jeff Bonaventure is facing several charges, including carrying a dangerous weapon, possession with intent to distribute, and a drug violation near a school/park zone.

James Bonaventure was arrested for possession with intent to distribute and drug violation near a school/park zone.

Brown was arrested for a warrant out of Woburn District Court for receiving stolen property.

Police recovered several bags containing marijuana, cell phones, a digital scale, pocket knives, brass knuckles, and over $300 from the males.

The arrest was the second arrest in less than two weeks where information obtained from an anonymous tip resulted in an arrest.
