SAUGUS (AP) - The bodies of two women have been found outside a Saugus elementary school and authorities are treating the deaths as homicides.
The bodies were found on the ground at about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday by a Lynnhurst Elementary School custodian. The area was immediately isolated so no children saw them.
A spokeswoman for the Essex district attorney's office says no
identification was found on the women, so their names were not known,
but she described one as "middle aged" and one as "elderly."
Police officers from Lynn were called to the scene because it is believed the two women have a connection to the city.
There were signs of foul play, but the spokeswoman did not provide details.
Authorities are appealing to the public for any information about the women and their deaths.
The school canceled classes for the day.
