SAUGUS (AP) - The bodies of two women have been found outside a Saugus elementary school and authorities are treating the deaths as homicides.
The bodies were found on the ground at about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday by a Lynnhurst Elementary School custodian. The area was immediately isolated so no children saw them.
A spokeswoman for the Essex County District Attorney's office said
Tuesday that 54-year-old Donna Breau was identified through her
fingerprints.
Neighbors told FOX 25 that Breau lived at 94 Sheridan St. in Lynn.
They fear Breau's mother, 83-year-old Melba Trahant, is the second
victim; however, the identity of the second victim has not yet been
released.
She said the state medical examiner's office is expected to conduct autopsies on Wednesday.
There were signs of foul play, but the spokeswoman did not provide details.
Authorities are appealing to the public for any information about the women and their deaths.
The school canceled classes for the day, but will be open on Wednesday.
