FBI asks for help in finding female bank robber

Posted: Updated:
BOSTON -

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is looking for the public's help in hopes of stopping a female bank robber accused of hitting banks all across Boston.

So far, this woman has hit five banks since mid-April. The FBI tells FOX 25 she hit three banks on Friday alone.

She began her spree on Friday by hitting the Citizens Bank on Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester. She got away with $1,000, but a dye pack exploded when she got outside.

She then got into her car and drove to the Mount Washington Bank in Jamaica Plain. Once there, she demanded cash, but the teller simply said no.

The woman once again got into her car, changed her clothes, and drove back to Dorchester. She took off from the Member's Credit Union on Gallivan Boulevard with $1,300.

The woman is described as 5'3" tall, in her late 30's, with long black hair.

In each robbery she wears similar clothing including hats, scarves, and glasses.

If you recognize this woman, you are asked to call the Boston FBI at 617-742-5533.
