
BELMONT (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Police in Belmont are searching for a male suspect who reportedly robbed a gas station on Pleasant Street at gunpoint on Sunday.
Police say the suspect walked into the Star Kay gas station at 368 Pleasant St. around 6 p.m. He went behind the counter to take money, but the female clerk resisted. He then fired one round and fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
The clerk was not injured, but was
taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The suspect is described as a white male and wore a scarf over his face. He was of average height and weight. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a
hooded-sweatshirt and sweatpants.
Anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspect is asked to contact authorities.
