Today we are examining having a healthy pregnancy.

It's not often discussed, but for women affected by a wide array of diseases, they have to take particular care during pregnancy.

Whether it's heart disease, cancer, diabetes, or HIV, there is sometimes a delicate balance between a mother and the health of her unborn child.

Dr. Allison Bryant Mantha, an OBGYN who specializes in high-risk pregnancies at Mass. General Hospital, has more.
