Maria Stephanos introduces you to Queen Butahe, a senior at Franklin High School, who is originally from Tanzania. Queen lost most of her family in Tanzania by the time she was six to HIV/AIDS. Only she and her brother had survived, and she doesn't know where he is to this day. For years she had been abused, and raped, and four years ago she had the chance to come to America with some relatives. She now lives the life of a normal American teenager, but doesn't forget the life she escaped in Tanzania. She is now raising money to help improve the education for young people in Tanzania, and help to build a library there.
