(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - The summer is knocking on the door, which means people will be heading to the beach and swimming pools.

And it seems every year we're hearing about a tragic case of drowning.

Governor Deval Patrick has proclaimed May "Drowning Awareness Month" in Massachusetts.

Derek Frechette of the Drowning Prevention Foundation, whose son Christian drowned at camp in 2007, recently joined the FOX 25 Morning News.
