CARVER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A 23-year-old Middleboro man is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly robbing another person at knifepoint inside of a moving car.

Sgt. Joseph Ritz was on patrol in the area of Plymouth Street and Route 58 in Carver when he came upon a stopped vehicle in the roadway with three people fighting near it. Ritz learned one of the individuals had been stabbed in the hand and was suffering from a head injury.

Investigators allege that 23-year-old Ryan Naylor was in the back seat of the vehicle driven by 19-year-old Julianna Silva of Middleboro. Naylor allegedly held a knife to the victim, who was in the front passenger seat at the time, and demanded money.

The victim was treated on the scene and then taken to Jordan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Naylor is being held without bail for arraignment on charges of attempted murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; attempt to commit a crime, to wit armed robbery.

Officials both parties knew each other prior to the incident.
