
CARVER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A 23-year-old Middleboro man is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly robbing another person at knifepoint inside of a moving car.
Sgt. Joseph Ritz was on patrol in the area of Plymouth Street and Route 58 in Carver when he came upon a stopped vehicle in the roadway with three people fighting near it. Ritz learned one of the individuals had been stabbed in the hand and was suffering from a head injury.
Investigators allege that 23-year-old Ryan Naylor was in the back seat of the vehicle driven by 19-year-old Julianna Silva of Middleboro. Naylor allegedly held a knife to the victim, who was in the front passenger seat at the time, and demanded money.
Naylor and the victim then engaged in a struggle, and the victim was stabbed in the hand. The victim then jumped from the vehicle and fell into the road causing a head injury.
The victim was treated on the scene and then taken to Jordan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Naylor is being held without bail for arraignment on charges of attempted murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; attempt to commit a crime, to wit armed robbery.
Officials both parties knew each other prior to the incident.
