Expensive equipment stolen from RI construction company

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Police in Rhode Island are searching not only for a suspect, but also for a brand new piece of construction equipment worth in excess of $50,000 that was stolen on Wednesday night from a business in North Smithfield.

Police believe the CAT Model steer loader was stolen from Pytko Construction Corps Office located on Route 146 North between the hours of 8 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. on May 23.

The area is well lighted and is easily visible from the highly traveled highway.

Pytko Construction Corps is offering a $1,000.00 cash reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of a suspect or the recovery of the machinery.


Anyone with information regarding the stolen equipment is asked to contact the North Smithfield Police Department at 401-762-1212.
