TEWKSBURY (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A 58-year-old Lowell man is facing attempted murder and assault charges for his alleged connection to the stabbing of a 49-year-old victim at a Tewksbury motel.
Investigators say a front desk clerk at the Motel 6 on Main Street contacted them around 11:50 p.m. on Friday to report a stabbing. The clerk told Tewksbury Police that a man had entered the lobby to report that he had been stabbed at the hands of a man in room 107. The man then left the lobby and the clerk lost sight of him.
Police arrived to the motel and went to room 107, where they arrested 58-year-old Kendrick Sanders of Lowell.
The 49-year-old victim, also of Lowell, was located on Wentworth Ave in Lowell. He was treated on the scene for a stab wound to the chest before he was transported to the hospital for further treatment. He is listed in stable condition.
Sanders is charged with attempted murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
