Brother, sister arrested at Logan for alleged murder plot

Posted: Updated:

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A brother and a sister were arrested at Logan Airport on June 7 for conspiracy to commit murder following an investigation by the Worcester Police Department.

Enrique Caravajal, 25, and Jeanne Caravajal, 24, were arrested at the Jet Blue departure terminal on an outstanding warrant for conspiracy to commit murder.

Worcester Police received information on June 4 that led them to believe the two siblings were planning to take a flight out of Logan Airport to the Dominican Republic.  The trip was part of a plot to kill a family member.

Investigators were able to trace the sibling's airline ticket purchases and began to conduct surveillance of the two.  Based on information obtained, investigators believed that the plan to murder the family member was intended to be carried out.

Worcester Police Detectives met Massachusetts State Police at Logan Airport and arrested the pair on June 7.

The Caravajals were arraigned at the Worcester County District Courthouse on June 8.

The investigation is ongoing.
