Mistrial declared in reputed mob captain's trial

Posted: Updated:

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A mistrial has been declared in the case against reputed mob captain and FBI informant, Mark Rossetti.

After two days of deliberations, jurors at Suffolk Superior Court were unable to reach a unanimous verdict.

During the trial, jurors heard secretly recorded phone calls of the men, but the judge did not allow jurors to hear about Rossetti's alleged mafia ties.

One juror tells FOX 25 seven wanted to find him guilty, while five were against the verdict. A new trial has been scheduled for July.

Rossetti and another man are accused of orchestrating a robbery at a Roslindale apartment in 2010 to get money and drugs
