WAYLAND (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Classmates of a murdered Wayland teenager remembered her life with a special piece of art.
This weekend, Wayland High School celebrated Lauren Astley with a permanent memorial.
The glass tile mosaic was designed by a group of students who say they chose colors that had a special meaning to her.
The 18-year-old was allegedly killed by her ex-boyfriend last summer. Fellow Wayland High alum, Nate Fujita, is charged with first-degree murder. He is set to go to trial in October.
