BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Will it be an awesome convenience or open the door for security concerns?
A new program at Logan International Airport will let some skip a lot of procedures while going through security.
The Boston Globe reports the "pre-check" program goes into effect Tuesday at Terminal A.
This will send pre-screened passengers to a shorter line where they will only walk through metal detectors and put their bags through an x-ray machine. They will not have to remove shoes and clothes or liquids from their bag.
For security purposes, passengers will not know if they've been picked for "pre-check" until they get to the TSA checkpoint.
