PLYMOUTH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Shocking allegations surfaced when a high school basketball star appeared in court, charged with a prom day car crash that seriously injured three students from Silver Lake High School.
Monica Knight was arraigned Thursday in Plymouth District Court on charges including reckless operation and possession of a Class B drug.
Knight was allegedly behind the wheel of a red BMW that veered over a yellow line slammed into a school bus in March.
No one on the bus was hurt, but all three of Knight's passengers were injured and one remains on life support.
Police say they found evidence of drugs in the car. Police say they are still awaiting toxicology reports and say more charges could be coming
Knight has been released on personal recognizance, however, she must wear a GPS tracking monitor and submit to random drug and alcohol testing.
