BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) Five of Boston's favorite hometown heroes are set to be immortalized on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The New Kids on the Block were among the elite list of 24 inductees who will receive a star in 2013.
Jordan, Jonathan, Joey, Donnie, and Danny will join Donnie's famous brother Mark Wahlberg on the walk.
The other honorees include Helen Mirren, Jennifer Hudson, James Franco, the Backstreet Boys, Javier Bardem, Viola Davis, Simon Baker, Bryan Cranston, Jane Lynch, Katey Segal, Matthew Perry, Ellen DeGeneres and Olympia Dukakis; performers Penn & Teller; makeup artist Rick Baker; filmmaker Ron Howard; radio personalities Steve Harvey and "Shotgun" Tom Kelly; and musicians Jane's Addiction, Janis Joplin, Usher, Thalia and Luther Vandross.
