MBTA police: Bus crashes in Boston, 2 injured

Posted: Updated:
BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - An MBTA bus full of passengers crashed head-on into a health center in Roxbury. The bus drove straight into the Whittier Street Health Center on Tremont and Prentiss streets around 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Fifteen people were on board at the time, two had to be taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Building inspectors were called to the scene to assess the damage and overnight, the bus was removed from the building.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but weather may have played a role.

No one was inside the building at the time of the crash.

Inspectors say besides a broken sprinkler pipe, most of the damage to the health center was not severe.

It's unclear if any part of the building will be open Tuesday.
