(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - The best director Oscar awarded for the film Casablanca is on the auction block.
The Academy Award was given to director Michael Curtis for the 1943 film.
"Casablanca" starred Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.
The golden statue is already generating bids as high as $400,000.
It heads to auction Thursday and is expected to sell for an estimated $3 million.
