Entertainment News: Casablanca Oscar sale

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - The best director Oscar awarded for the film Casablanca is on the auction block.

The Academy Award was given to director Michael Curtis for the 1943 film.

"Casablanca" starred Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.

The golden statue is already generating bids as high as $400,000.

It heads to auction Thursday and is expected to sell for an estimated $3 million.

In other news, country music star Billy Ray Cyrus is heading to the Great White Way!

Cyrus is set to make is Broadway debut as the ultra suave lawyer Billy Flynn in the musical Chicago.

The 50-year-old "Achy Breaky Heart" singer is the father of Miley Cyrus, the former star of Disney's "Hannah Montana."

Billy Ray Cyrus joins the cast of "Chicago" starting in November.
