BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Boston City Hall is in need of an upgrade or in need of a wrecking ball, according to California Home + Design.
The magazine ranked the centerpiece of Boston's Government Center in the "Top 25 of Buildings to Demolish Right Now."
Numerous proposals have been put forth to redesign the building, but have never succeeded One such proposal suggested Boston City Hall be relocated to the waterfront.
Boston Mayor Tom Menino told FOX 25 that although the building may not be esthetically pleasing, it would not be a financially sound decision to demolish and construct a new building.
Other buildings that made the list include the Phillip Burton Federal Building in San Francisco, Calif., the AT&T Central Office in Houston, Texas, and The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
