High bacteria levels found in Lake Quinsigamond - Boston News, Weather, Sports | FOX 25 | MyFoxBoston

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – Officials in two communities issuing a warning about the dangers posed by a local lake.

Unhealthy bacteria levels have the city of Worcester and the town of Shrewsbury. Officials are telling the public not to swim, bathe or use the Worcester side of Lake Quinsigamond.
    
The points most at risk include the area around Regatta Point and Lake Park Beach.
    
Officials say Monday's heavy rains contributed to unhealthy bacteria levels.
