News Corp. to be split into two companies

(FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – The Board of Directors at Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. has approved a plan that will split the global media conglomerate into two separate companies.

One company will encompass its newspaper business, the other its entertainment operations.

Murdoch will be CEO of both organizations.

News Corp.is the parent company of FOX News, including FOX 25.
