Cops: Fall River men arrested for exploding mailboxes

FALL RIVER (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Three men from Fall River were arrested on Tuesday for reportedly placing explosives in mailboxes at various locations throughout the city.

Police say 20-year-old Jordan Domonte, 22-year-old Matthew Camara, and 19-year-old Kyle Machado have been charged with multiple counts of malicious destruction of property, as well as multiple counts involving explosives.

The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by Lt. Paul R. Bernier, Commander of the Special Operations Division and Arson Investigator.

Police received several reports of explosions taking place in the city with substantial damage to mailboxes.  A combination of chemicals were used when mixed together become volatile and eventually explode.

No injuries were reported in these incidents.

The lieutenant was able to use several YouTube videos to identify the people and motor vehicles involved.

All three men were taken in to custody and later released.  They are set to be arraigned on Thursday.
