PLYMOUTH (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) A 48-year-old man died on Wednesday night after being pulled from the water while out for a swim with his daughter in Myles Standish State Forest.
Plymouth fire officials tell FOX 25 the man was swimming with his daughter at Ezekiel Pond around 6 p.m. when he told her that he was feeling tired. He was concerned he wasn't going to make it to shore so his daughter swam ahead and alerted other family members.
Family members swam out to retrieve the father and pull him to shore. They performed CPR and he was rushed to Jordan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
