BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – There is speculation that Gov. Deval Patrick could be a candidate for a top job in Washington.
The Boston Herald says the governor may be a replacement for Attorney General Eric Holder if Holder is forced to resign.
Last week, the attorney general was hit with a Contempt of Congress charge by House Republicans looking into a failed Justice Department operation in Mexico.
Patrick served as an assistant attorney general in the Clinton Administration. He has said he plans to serve out his full second term, which runs until January 2015. He is currently also serving on President Obama's re-election committee.
