SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Fans of FOX 2 may notice a familiar name in Dax Shepard's newest movie.

The Walled Lake, Mich. native revealed his character's name in Hit and Run is actually Yul Perkins, strikingly similar in sound and spelling to FOX 2 anchor Huel Perkins. Shepard joked that he's one letter away from getting sued by Huel.

"Good luck. You're going to need to lawyer up if you think you're going to beat me," joked Shepard during The Nine on Monday.

Shepard graduated from Walled Lake Central and is engaged to actress and Royal Oak, Mich. native Kristen Bell.

Hit and Run, which also stars Bradley Cooper and Tom Arnold, hits theaters on August 24.
